A representative Jirga of Uthmankhel tribe held at Mandal House, Takht-Bhai on Dec. 23, 2012. It was participated by senior notables (Maliks) from Bajaour Agency, Momand Agency, Malakand Division, Kurram Agency, District Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi Charsaddah and Karachi. This was the highly authorized Jirga from all places where Uthmankhel people live. They demanded a separate division for them in parts of Momand, Bajaur and Malakand to be made as an Uthmankhel Agency, as they are the largest tribe but are kept scattered in different parts due to a conspiracy. The Uthmankhel Qaumi Movement (UQM) will continue its efforts for the social, economic and educational progress of the tribe and will provide a plateform to all of them to get united for a greater cause of human progress and peaceful society especially in FATA. The Jirga lauded the services of Patron-in-Chief of Uthmankhel Tribe, Mr. Fasihuddin (PSP).
