Halqa-e-Arbab-e-Zooq, Women Writers Forum and Takhleeq International jointly celebrated the mega launching ceremony of Khama Bajosh-2011, the first collection of coloumns of Fasihuddin, a senior police officer and well-known writer, researcher and coloumnist. The ceremony was arranged at the Iranian Cultural Centre, Peshawar on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. The Speaker Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Assembly, Mr. Asad Qaiser was the Chief Guest who announced many incentives for writers and literary associations. He also urged the scholars to arrange as many cultural, literary, educational and social gatherings as possible in KP due to serious threats and terrorism. The Guest of Honour, Syed Akhtar Ali Shah, Secretary for Home and Tribal Affairs, Govt; of KP, spoke on the personality and writing style of Fasihuddin and his various suggestions for improving the police work and research on crimes and deviance. Senior scholar and coloumnist and Guest of Honour Mr. Sadullah Jan Burq stated that Fasihuddin proved that spirituality can exist and be found in police department as well. He lauded the variety of subjects and disciplines on which the writer has written so meticulously and research-based coloumns. Prof. Pir Zahir Shah spoke on the intellectual evolution of Fasihuddin since he was his student in Class-3 in 1976. Prof. Dr. Nazir Tabassum spoke on the book’s language, style and diction. Prof. Izharullah Izhar hinted that he will recommend the book for a critical literary review and a thesis on Fasihuddin’s works to MPhil and PhD classes. Prof. Ishaque Wardaq stated that Fasihuddin’s abilities and vision is not only for police but his services should also be utilized for a greater cause in the country, peace in KP and FATA and Pakistan’s image abroad. Prof. Zaigham Hasan and Dr. Tajuddin Tajwar spoke on the popularity of Fasihuddin in young students and his immense interaction with his wide readership. Senior drama-writer and coloumnist Mr. Younas Qiasi and Editor-in-Chief Daily Aeen Mr. Asif Nisar Ghayasi spoke on the journalistic value of Fasihuddin’s coloumns and lauded the book as a valuable addition to the Urdu literature and journalism. Ex-police officer Mr. Farooq Jan Baber paid a poetic tribute to his colleague in police. Mr. Akbar Marwat also paid a poetic homage to the writer. Mrs. Bushra Farrukh conducted the ceremony and well-known writer and spiritual master Dr. Shafiullah Khan presided over the meeting s who spoke about the mystic value of the book. Fasihuddin (PSP) thanked the audience and speakers for their insight, criticism and generous welcome.
