The Press Club Takht Bhai, Mardan hosted an academic session for the launch and review of Fasihuddin’s first book of coloumns which was presided by Member of National Assembly, Mr. Muhammad Ali and the guest of honour was the Member Provincial Assembly Mr. Jamshed Khan Momand. Fasihuddin was represented by his elder brother Mr. Muhammad Ilyas Khan. The well-known writers, poets, scholars, ex-members of assemblies, educationists, teachers, students and media representatives participated in the gathering. Young poet and critic, Prof. Ishaq Wardag presented an overview of Fasihuddin’s overall thinking and philosophy against the exploitative forces, and those who damage the very existence of this country, Islam and our historical traditions. Dr. Noor Jelani spoke on the book in light of its multi-dimensional subjects and its importance in the present geo-politics and new great game in the region. He pointed to the beauty of its expression emanated from Fasihuddin’s serious but boiling pen. Young journalist, researcher and Radio-anchor, Mr. Izzat Muhammad Khpalwak, a class-fellow of the author in his early school days for 15-years and one of his friends, narrated the evolutionary phases of his intellectual life and his contribution to literature, his co-villagers and his ‘revolutionary thinking’ to unite the oppressed against all kinds of discrimination, cruelty and injustices by individuals as well as institutions. Prof. Aurangzeb Sherazi talked about the delicate literary feelings and progressive thinking and poetic beauty in Fasihuddin’s style and diction. Renowned and senior Pashto poets Hussain Ahmed Sadiq, Gul Muhammad Gran and Sirajul Haq Siraj paid tributary poems to the steadfastness and endurance, courage and refined thinking of Fasihuddin and his love for knowledge in his various writings.
The Chief Guest MNA Mr. Muhammad Ali and Guest of Honour MPA Mr. Jamshed Khan Momand paid tribute to the writer for his openness and sincerity with his cause and mission for the people of his area and his country. Mr. Hayatullah Akhtar, Chairman Press Club stated that Fasihuddin has brought life to the literary circles and book-culture back to this town and the whole province.
